B8 Level sensors are available as standard form, normally closed when float down.

They can be reveresed if required.  Cable lengths vary, see specification.

Specification

The B8 Float Probes are designed to operate with all of our product ranges.

The Sensor body is made from 304 Stainless Steel and the cap is 316 Stainless Steel.
The Float is NBR which is good for Oil, Diesel, Petrol and most spirits and water based products.

Standard cable is High Density Polyethylene (PEHD) sheathed and is 6 or 10 meters long.

The B8 sensors are magnetic reed switches

  • Standard Float is NBR (Nitrile) material
  • Switching rating is 0.25 A at 240vac
  • Standard switch form is Normally Closed when float is down.
  • 6 meters of cable is supplied, and a 1" Tank fitting.

 

The Normal condition for OLE B8 probes is Normally Closed when float is DOWN.

The Float can be reversed to change the form, to Normally OPEN when down, close on rise. The stainless disc needs to be removed and replaced to do this. Very simple.

Q/    Can we change the function round from Normally closed to Normally open.

A/    Yes, Pop off the lower stainless steel spring cap, reverse the float and refit the spring cap.

 

Q/   Can we use this for High Level switching

A/    Yes, OLE Gauges have one or two Digital inputs which can be used for any level condition you require.
