Z2000 Tank Gauge is a kit for use with hazardous products. The sensor is suitable for ATEX Zone 0/1 and the Gauge unit for Zone 2 / Safe area. (It can be outside in all weathers)
This range of Gauges has the following system Options.
Z2000-A-ATEX-A12 is a kit for tanks up to 3 meters high. 10 meter cable
Z2000-A-ATEX-A14 is a kit for tanks up to 5 meters high. 10 meter cable
Z2000-A-ATEX-A16 is a kit for tanks up to 10 meters high. 10 meter cable
The probe can be installed in Zone 0/1 ( submerged in the product or in the vapour)
The Gauge unit must be in a Zone 2 / Safe area. It is fully weatherproof for outdoor use.
Products that this range is ideal for are.
Diesel
Kerosene
Screen Wash ( alcohol in this makes it flamable)
Spirits
Petrol (vented Tanks without Vapour recovery)
When Diesel was reclassified to hazardous, many manufactures ignored the ATEX regulations.
At OLE we feel we should offer customers the option of using standard non certified gauges or ATEX kits for Diesel.
It makes sense to use ATEX approved gauges for all hazardous products such as Kerosene and Screen Wash, as well as obviously hazardous products such as Petrol.
Risk assessments should be performed on a job for job basis, and a descision made as to whether ATEX zoned conditions could apply.
